3D Scanning Protocols

The goal of these protocols is to allow archaeologists to effectively scan lithic artifacts using different 3D scanning methods. The StyroStone protocol deals with the digitization and post-processing of large batches of small-sized lithic artifacts using micro-computed tomography (micro-CT). The MicroStone protocol does instead present a detailed step-by-step pipeline to effectively scan lithics using the Artec Micro.

Lecturer in Palaeolithic Archaeology

I am a Lecturer in Palaeolithic Archaeology at the University of Southampton (CAHO). My research investigates the interplay between technological evolution, mobility, and human-climate interactions across Europe, the Levant, and southern Africa. Using a combination of traditional and computational methods, I explore cultural transmission and demic spread during the MIS3.
